Dual Home PBB-TE

PBB-TE Dual Homing ensures that a predictable customer route is available over the backbone with normal and failover paths. LE-3300’s PBB-TE implementation uses 802.1ag Connectivity Fault Management mechanisms to detect faults and achieve service restoration times comparable to those available with SONET/SDH. A typical PBB-TE application with path redundancy is shown below, utilizing the World Wide Packets LE-3300 and LE-311v Carrier Ethernet switches.
